If you have an old card table and the top of it has tears, stains from years of use. Don’t throw it out, revamp it! As you can see, this one is in pretty ugly shape, but still sturdy. Just turn the table upside down, and take out the screws holding it on, this one had 16. Tools needed…screw driver (type depends on the screws in table) duct tape, scissors, and staple gun (if you’re sure you like the design of the cover you have)
Pick up a vinyl table cloth, I got this one at Wal*Mart, and you can do more projects if you get a bigger size like I did. I’ll show you the second one after we finish the table.
Cut it to the shape of your table, with about 2 to 3 inches hanging over for tacking underneath. As you can see, it doesn’t have to be perfectly straight.
Fold up one side and tape it, then the opposite side and pull taught, then the two remaining sides. If you know you will want to change it soon, just duct tape it as I have. If you know for sure you want to keep it then staple the edges down. You can do it either way really, Once the table is put back into place, the cloth isn’t going anywhere.
Finished table, looks so much nicer.
